Yeah this is really creeping me out...I'm still getting .mil hits from the pacific fleet (it was from the Moffet this time)
But now, I'm getting hits from the Royal Bank of Canada? WTF?
I had an account there once, a loong loong time ago in a galaxy far away (alberta, canada)... but why would they be looking at my website?

Yee-Haw! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Last night, I was bored and wondering around the internet, eventually landing right into the middle of a heated gun debate. Now, as most of you know, I take a pretty liberal stance on most, if not all, issues. However, my stance on guns and gun control is a bit different from most liberals.I believe that people do have the right to own guns (not assault weapons) to protect themselves and family, to hunt, etc. I also believe that I have a very distinct right NOT to own a gun. Currently, in Ohio, I also have a right to not want to be around civilians with guns (no concealed carry) if I don't want to be. I will never touch or own a gun. I will never have one in my home. It is my personal belief that there are other ways to protect yourself other than carrying around a gun.
My biggest problem with last night's conversation was that it was argued that not only do people have rights to have guns, but that everyone should have one. You may have a right to own your guns, but I also have a right NOT to own a gun. It is not my civic duty to protect and defend the public; that's why we have cops.
One can argue the effectiveness of law enforcement or the "what if's" of robberies and rape, till the cows come home. I'm still not going to go out and buy a gun. I'm also not going to live in fear that someday, someone might use a gun on me.
So bite me.

Jesus H. Christ
THIS makes me incredibly angry. Not only could that guy have put his money to better use (like giving legal services to the poor), but now, Kraft is going to take the good stuff out of oreos and they're going to taste bad.
Way to go, genius. You wasted all your money being letigious and you made Oreos suck. I hope you're happy.

Mean People Suck
Here's a big FUCK YOU to the THREE non handicapped people who felt the need to park in the handicapped spaces closest to my office this morning. Now that I have that out of my system.. Ahem
I came back to work today and it hasn't been so bad. Crutching around takes a bit of time, but other than that, I'm doing well :) Although, I had been working from home Friday - Wednesday, with 3 of those days being full days plus some, it's good to be actually back at work; I had a serious case of cabin fever... Thanks to Jay for letting me come over to his place :)
I guess I had a bit of poor timing with my surgery, even though I only had 2.5 days off of work, with our phone system getting phreaked and some servers going down. Fortunately, the phreakers didn't get to our network (our network hung up on its own), and our phone service provider caught the unusual activity and put a block up before we really got bent over and screwed. The kicker is, the people who we bought our phone system from... and also have a maintenance contract with.... KNEW ABOUT THE DAMN EXPLOIT, but still left the whole open anyway.... grrrr.... angry... so very angry... If you want to know the geeky details, ask and I'll tell ya all about it.
Tom has been absolutely incredible with taking care of me since my Mom left. My Mom did a great job, and being the Mom that she is, also cleaned and organized our apartment while she was here. Tom not only has been taking care of me, but this is the last week of classes. I'm not one to be tied to a disability, so I've been doing a lot of stuff for myself, or at least am trying to do so, so I don't interrupt his studies. Since I'm not taking the crazy drugs anymore, I can drive (and I have a handicapped hangtag so I can park close to where I need to go). I'm cooking and moving around a lot more too, so that makes me happy. Hopefully, I'll kick this knee thing soon enough, although I still get tired sometimes. Irregardless (that one's for Brandon ;) ), Tommy is the best!
Alright... back to work.
