It's been awhile since I've posted, so I might as well put something up :)

The Ohio house just passed a law to allow beers of up to 13% alkie content to be sold in the state. It's just gotta pass in the Ohio senate, and then we're set. Bring on your porters and stouts boys! We're drinkin tonight!
On a related note, things are going well for me. My job is cool. The bgslug seems to have had enough of the annual "i'm taking my ball and going home" fit and are starting to reorganize. I'm getting MY COUCHES TOMORROW!!! FINALLY! Just remember if you ever order furniture (special order) that it takes forever to come in. Mine came in early. Hooray!
Jay's birthday is tomorrow (Happy Bday JAY!) and Tom and I picked him up something I think he'll enjoy. Hopefully we can all party hearty :)
Fourth of July is next week! I had made plans with Tom, but he's got some family thing and I was left high and dry. Since I had already taken the friday off of work, and I sure as hell wasn't going to sit around here and twiddle my thumbs, I called to see if there was still room for me at my family's place. Fortunately there was room and my mom was able to find a relatively inexpensive ticket for the late booking. SO, I get to go to Tulsa / Bartlesville for the 4th. My mom is home from the 3rd - 6th inbetween New Orleans and England trips (read tired and pissed off), but I'm sure we'll be able to spend some QT together. I'm kinda curious to see the new homestead. My step brother Larry will be coming back home from Tucson, bringing my step sister Cassie with him. I guess there's a cookout too, so I get to meet all of Larry's (native Okie) relatives, which will be interesting. I find it so interesting to see how different families interact. This one is technically mine now, so I might as well meet them sometime :)
Well, lunch break is over! Back to work :)

"I think I'm gonna like it here... " -Annie
I started my new job on thursday and I'm already diggin' it :) The people I work with are awesome, my team leader and manager are working really well with me, they have a great business structure, and I have an open cube in front of the window :) I am a happy woman :)
Oh yeah, if you want my work email, lemme know. It's not hard to figure out though ;)
Right now, it's a little slow as it's friday afternoon. I've been answering voicemails / emails as well as listening to the web-programmers talk on the other side of my cube. Interesting stuff :)
I went to Ann arbor on wednesday. Wow... Book Stores, Record Stores, a huge anime store, coffee shops and restaurants galore! I bought some really cool stuff, including the new DJ Shadow cd and some additional *really* cool stuff for Tom. It's so cool. I don't know if I'll be able to hold out until a holiday or event. We'll see. If you're curious drop me an email and I'll let you know what it is :)
It was raining earlier, but it seems to be letting up now. Hopefully there will be enough sunshine for me to rollerblade tonight. Then it's officially "kristy night." Just me, some movies (the anime metropolis, drunken master, and the *real* ocean's 11), some sushi, and lots of chillin' :) I might even do some laundry and clean the apartment (grandparents are coming up again tomorrow).
A site redesign for kristyland will be coming up soon. Right now it's in the conceptual stages, but think "greetings from kristyland." I'll definitely be keeping the retro theme, it's just so kitsche and I dig it, daddyo :)

Wow... Things are once again on the up and up...
I got a job, I finished the first act of Diablo II, I read 85% of a really good book, my favorite teacher from Wapak found me, and I got to go to Ann Arbor today.
Funny, I really don't feel like writing much in my journal. So much other stuff to do :)

I HAVE A JOB!!!! w00t!!!
I work for sky bank in their IT department... a real bonafide job! Yeehaw! My first day is thursday :)
I can't even begin to say how excited I am and how much of a burden this takes off my shoulders. I'm *really* impressed with Sky, so it seems as if I'll have a really nice work environment too. Wish me luck :)

I'm back in town again :)
I headed to Tom's this weekend again because he was a groomsman in one of his friend's weddings in Rocky River. It was really interesting to see how other people's families mesh. The wedding went off well (even though the bride and groom were sure it wouldn't) and all had a good time. I even got to go to half price books while in Rocky River and picked up some more "introducing" books, a 30's - 50's clip art book, a graphic novel, and the first Ranma manga.
The weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous, so it was nice to actually go outside for a change.
Sunday, Tom and I hung out with Jon a bit in yuppyland. We had a nice little scenic drive in Jon's new crv, did some shopping, played laser tag, and ate sushi. I got to see Jon's new apartment, which is really nice too.
I headed home on Monday and stopped at Marc's deeper discount on the way home. I do enjoy a bargain. Monday night, I got to see my grandparents again and we all hung out. Gramma and I went to the small and did some shopping. I bought a couple of really neat cookbooks, so I'm excited to use those. I guess JC Penny's is closing too, so I checked out the jewelry on sale. There were a few sapphire and alexandrite rings there that I thought were cool, but I don't need to be buying jewelry (I need to pay rent).
So yeah, I'm still trying to find a job. I've got a few prospects right now, so I'm not going to call up the McTeam quite yet. I *really* hope I don't have to do that. I've worked so hard...
