I finally understand how to throw clay on the wheel now (and actually make something of it). I was on campus for 14 hours yesterday, 5 of those in the ceramics studio. I am so sore today, and now my knee hurts really bad for some odd reason. I've been walking around like a pimp daddy.. it's wierd. Anyway, TOMMY is coming in today, so maybe I'll make him give me a backrub :)

w000h! Things have taken a surprising turn for the better!


My room is clean (I can see my desk again!), my laundry is finished, I get paid this week, my boyfriend is wonderful (but yeah, he's always been wonderful), and there are some exciting new developments in my job search as well :)


HOORAY! :)


This week should be pretty normal. Ceramics starts back up again today, so I'm excited about that. Tom should be coming in sometime this week, which is great :) We *seriously* have to have a GRE celebration party for him. You can't get a perfect 800 on the math section (730 verbal 790 analytical) and NOT have a fricken celebration :) Maybe a party or a night out, either way.. there is a celebration in order.


Okay... I better pay attention to class now :)

With a few notable exceptions, life has been pretty mundane lately.


I'm still looking for a job, still trying to clean my room, and still trying to complete my homework in a timely fashion.


This weekend I"m on duty and also added about 20 hours worth of shifts to my schedule. I'm poor. I don't like being poor, so I work. I'm still trying to live on a Marathon paycheck, but am recieving an ITS paycheck. Needless to say, it's not working out so well for me.


Since I'm working so much this weekend, I'm going to try to play around with kristyland a bit. We'll see how that goes. I need *something* to do since it's been the last two weeks and I don't have much due in the way of school in the next week or so.


Today is the BGSLUG birthday party. I even bought a cake with a little penguin on it for everyone to enjoy. It's cute :) I'm also bringing some nacho cheese dip and chips... man am I hungry :)


I just finished IM-in' with Tom and he shared with me his fabulous GRE Scores. Wow is that guy smart! Congratulations Tom, you've done well. I won't share his scores here, so if you want to know you can ask. Let me say this though, they were *damn* good and he got a perfect Math score ;) I don't think he has much to worry about as far as getting accepted into grad school goes.


Now I just need to find a job, and there's *nuthin'* out there. I'm good, I'm personable, and I have two degrees, what's not to like? My interview with Microsoft went well and I'm supposed to hear from them in the next week. I've been in contact with Battelle too and they keep telling me they're going to send me a schedule for an on-site interview but haven't yet. I have a feeling they're giving me the brush off. Either place would be a dream to work for. I just really would like to get a job squared off so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Monster.com, here I come. If I don't get a job, I really don't know what I'd do quite yet, but we'll deal with that when the time comes. For now, I'm thinking optimistic and slowly developing a backup plan in the back of my head.

I'm subbing for someone at 88.1 WBGU on thursday afternoon 4pm-6pm. If anyone would like to join me in the studio, let me know. I don't know what format I'm going to play quite yet (my traditional velvet lounge stuff or go with indie rock like the person I'm subbing for). Either way, some company would be fun :) Regardless, why don't you go ahead and tune in and listen to a little Kristy during thursday afternoon :)

Being rather successful in putting off my homework until tomorrow's 7 hours of shifts, I updated the links page to make it look pretty.


I could work on the homework, I guess. It's really hard to do this meaningless stuff, when I could be doing something useful :) LIKE KRISTYLAND!


I saw a friend from high school today and found out that he started the BG chapter of the ACLU, so that was kind of neato.


I miss Tom. A lot. He has been nothing other than a dream and it all seems too good to be true, but hell I'll take it :) If all works out well after graduation, we'll end up in the same place :) He was feeling really bad that he didn't stay in school this semester. I keep telling him that graduating in 3 1/2 years is a good thing, but he doesn't believe me ;) It's not quite as easy as when he lived right across the street, but we manage okay :) Since I'm on duty this weekend, I won't be able to see him another week and a half or so. Hopefully I won't start pulling my hair out. Things always just seem to fit when he's around... can't quite explain it... never really had that before either. Anyway, I'll stop droning on ;) I just can't help myself sometimes...
