I went to town at emode, here's what I found :)

What Breed of Dog Are You?

No bones about it, you're a devil-may-care Irish Setter. Fun-loving and light-hearted, life is an adventure for you an attitude your nearest and dearest find refreshing and inspiring. Witty, with a nose for fun, you can turn any social gathering into an unforgettable event, which is why you're always at the top of the guest list. Your varied interests anything and everything from sky-diving to club hopping make you extremely well-rounded. Just make sure you don't get distracted and lose sight of your responsibilities. As long as you stay balanced, you're a lucky dog who will always be a kid at heart woof!

What's Your Love Story?

The love story that grips you, Romantic Rescue, uses love to give better meaning and significance to your life. Love, in your story, is all-powerful. It is the catalyst to change yourself, help your partner become the person you want them to be, and show the world what you are made of. Some people put themselves in the role of hero in this love story nursing an ailing partner back to health, saving him from a string of previously destructive relationships, maybe even saving him from a physical danger. Other people with whom you share this story cast themselves as those in need of rescue - relying on their partners to swoop in and save them from whatever ill-fate's been visited upon them, either real or imagined.

In your love story, actions speak almost louder than words. The more present you are to your partner, or he to you, the stronger and faster your bond can develop. The image of one partner as caregiver and the other as recipient of that care, sets up an immediate give-and-take relationship, one that makes your union seem all the more magical.

It also sets up one of the parties as a savior. Though perhaps not as epic as seen in the characters in novels or films, this is significant nonetheless. In Hemingway's tragic love story, "Farewell to Arms," an injured soldier is nurtured back to health and into a blissful romance by a kindly nurse. Not long after, she's the one at death's door. In "Run Lola Run," a woman has twenty minutes to come up with a large amount of money to save her boyfriend's life. How far she goes to obtain it is a measure of her devotion or delusion.

Who's your inner rock star?

Wow, your inner rock star is Bjork. You've charmed the world with your beautiful, zany, personal style. To say you're a member of the alternative set would be a gross understatement. You and Bjork define alternative in its purest form. You've got nothing to prove, it's your remarkably creative point of view that lets you make art from anythingart, music, politicswhatever makes you passionate. It's just who you are. You've got the courage to experiment with your style and career, and all the while remaining positively sweet and humble. You are as much a free spirit as they come. Celebrate your inner Bjork.

What's your theme song?

Whether it's throwing your own theme party or mixing it up on the karaoke stage, we can see you strutting towards the jukebox in platform, glitter boots and a skintight jumpsuit to the tune of your personal anthem, "Dancing Queen." You aren't just part of the scene, you make it. You anticipate the good stuff in life, and with a theme song like yours, you're sure to get a lot of it. Crown jewel of the 70s, this Abba smash is expected to raise spirits in just about any environment, from dance floor to kitchen floor, and full-blown party. Yours is the comfort food of theme songssteady and always welcome. Which is how your friends often view you. At your next soiree, it wouldn't surprise us if you danced with everyone for about 30 seconds, started a mambo line, then spun off to dance, jive, and have the time of your life as only a true Dancing Queen can.

Which Candy Heart are you?

Of course, "Be Mine," is what your candy heart says. Whether you've found your soul mate or not, you've got an old-fashioned sense of how romance should be and can't wait to find your "keeper." Doesn't matter where this year's Valentine's Day cards are going to come from mom, dad or your hotter than hot honey. You feel that February 14th is about falling in love all over again even if your ideal mate is somewhere out there in the future.

You're not bitter when you see cute couples holding hands in the park. You sigh and imagine yourself swinging on the front porch with your sweetie, sipping lemonade and playing with the grandkids. That's what your vision of happiness has in store when it comes to love.

When you think about it, there aren't too many things better than finishing each other's sentences and finding something new in those stories you've heard 450 times already. Here's to friends and lovers forever! And with a statement like "Be Mine", you're primed and ready.

What Color are you?

We don't need a psychic to tell us that you're giving off a Crimson vibe. Your ruby-red aura reveals your passionate, sensual nature you're all about earthly pleasure. Whether you're getting a great massage or having a sumptuous dinner, you delight in experiences that fully engage your senses. (Crimson is, after all, the color of roses, wine, and velvet.) That's why it's the material things that really float your boat. If you can taste it, touch it, smell it, or see it right here, right now, you're all over it. After all, you're firmly rooted in reality, preferring to live in the present rather than the future. And you probably have a quick temper, too most folks with red auras do. But you cool down quickly, turning your outspoken energy and stamina to projects with fast, concrete results. A hot-blooded go-getter like you is always in favor of instant gratification.

What's your superpower?

Think fast! Your hidden superpower is SUPER SPEED! Some people might think you have a talent for impatience, but we like to call it efficiency. You approach all things with a need for speed. Whether it's running a race, eating lunch, or writing a report, you finish the task in no time flat. This quality is a huge asset in today's hotwired workplace, where there's never enough time to do anything. With a little bit of practice, you'll soon be zipping about the office, zooming between social engagements, and devouring books at an alarming rate. Your friends and coworkers won't be able to keep up. If you use your powers wisely, you'll be the model of well-balanced productivity. But don't forget: Ultra-speedy superheroes have to take good care of their bodies. Be sure to eat right, get plenty of sleep and stretch regularly. Are you ready? Invest in some quality shoes and hop to it. You'll be flying through your day in no time.

Are you a sex goddess?

A brilliant bolt of lightning descends! SHAZAAM! The oracle has spoken!

The smoke clears to reveal that inside you is a divine being,

PERSEPHONE, Goddess of the Night,

a woman in touch with her deepest inner desires.

As the most sexual of all the female deities, you are very comfortable in the bedroom. Your skill at pleasing a man is unmatched, and you know exactly what you need for your own pleasure. As a woman of passion, you're very comfortable with expressing your desires to anyone. You are a proud and confident woman who exudes sensuality. You cherish the intimacy of physical attraction and know what it takes to win a man. As a woman deeply in touch with your sexuality, you definitely know how to thoroughly enjoy yourself! Your polished bedroom performance always keeps them coming back for more. When everything is going right, a light shines down from the heavens. Behold, the skies proclaim, here lies a goddess!

Are you Naughty or Nice?

You're On the Verge

We won't call the Vice Squad quite yet, but you're just a few crazy nights away from officially becoming "naughty." You've broken your share of rules maybe had a few flings, taken some serious risks, embellished the truth every now and again to save your skin but you're still nice when it counts. If it's dangerous, cruel, or really illegal, chances are you haven't done it. Which is probably just as it should be. We all like to walk on the wild side now and then (it can be so much fun to be bad!), but it's important to strike a balance and keep your urges in check. You're doing pretty darn well so far keep up the good work!

What's Your Party Style?

Parrot

Colorful, chatty Parrots like you always have a great time at parties. With drink in hand, you fly from group to group, catching up with old friends and making new ones. You've got your ears open for the latest news who just broke up with whom, who's got a job opening, who needs a roommate. You can recite the latest headlines and celebrity gossip verbatim, so you're always adding something to the conversation (just be careful not to dominate it). You're vivacious, inquisitive, and bubbly, a true gem of a bird. You're full of helpful tips for people who need them, and you're the first to hand over your business card if someone wants more advice. Other party-goers love to chat with you after all, birds of a feather flock together!

Yeah, I'm tired

I'm at the station right now doing my show. If you're not listening to it... well you darn well should be :) I'm getting a lot better at being a radio dj that I can almost do it in my sleep (which is kinda going on right now). I didn't get to bed until late last night and had to be up at 5. So let me tell you about yesterday.

I had to be up early for a shift in tech and so I worked on some coding stuff while I was there and put up the new 025 webpage after a little debugging help from Tom. After that, I went to the 025 lab and worked down there. From there, I went to a most excellently invigorating aerobic dance class. I really dig that class and am starting to see the benefits :) I can tell I've lost weight, so that rules :)

I go home and have a little Kristy time and read some cryptonomicon. I had a meeting in the tech at 6, but I had forgotten that I had driven into school early that morning and walked home... so I didn't have a car and had to walk to tech in the rain.. which sucked. It's also fortunate that I walked home because I ran into Kathy, a good Wapak friend that I haven't seen in awhile. We resolved to head to Easy Street to work on our senior projects later in the evening. Mind you, our senior project happens to be the HALL OF FOAM :) Anyway, I hoofed it to the tech lab in the pouring rain, had a good meeting and then straight to get Kathy and go to easy street.

There I got some dinner and she got some fries and of course, we both whipped out the hall of foam cards :) We had this really cool waiter named Ben who would come over and chat with us. He even sat down and took his break with us! Anyway, Ben ruled and we ended up sticking around.. drinking more beer and hanging out with Ben. Another waitress was having a bad night so she came over and hung out with us too. We ended up staying there until after close, smokin' and drinkin beer with Annie and Ben (who were both really cool). I wanted to head home and chat with Tom, so we headed out around 11:30.

I ended up having Tom call me, because I was tired, buzzing, and didn't feel like typin'. I got a chance to tell him how cool he really is (Although I wasn't in any condition to recall everything that makes him wonderful, but I hit on most of the major points). I ended up practically falling asleep on the phone and had to say goodnight.

Then I got up this morning...

Moral of this story: I didn't get anything accomplished yesterday that I had planned on doing, but I had an amazing time instead :)

Sometimes you have to put having a good time ahead of cleaning your room :)

The new Hayes025 webpage is now up due to my 31337 |-|4x0ring skillz yo ;)

I'd love to show ya, but if you don't work in the labs you can't see.. so HA.

It has the same framework as kristyland, but has the whole black / green terminal look to it.

And yes, I did make the buttons small enough to even be fully seen on a 600x800 screen :)

Thanks to Tom who helped me debug :) What a sweet guy ain't he folks!

Wow... What a crazy last 24 hours it's been.

Yesterday I had my first advanced psych stats lab and we got to play with Trapper and SAS a bit. It was really funny because I whipped out the lab in like 10 minutes (we had to hardcode the data, or it would've taken me 2 minutes) and everyone else was having all kinds of issues. SAS is kinda fun to play with, I'm glad I'm getting to learn it. After that I had my office hours and stuff and went to my aerobics dance class. I had a great time in there because my instructor was really full of energy :) It's cooshe's not some skinny little thing either.. she's a bigger girl and that makes me feel better, that she was out lasting all of the skinny little chicks that couldn't keep up :)

After that was over, I walked home and took a nap for a few hours. I was so tired from bdubs the night before, so I deserved it. I woke up after that and talked to Jay a bit. We decided to head out for dinner and bring Justin along too :) They both also had eventful days. We ended up at trotters for the brown jug steak and guinness (I got a guinness with a clover leaf in the foam, which was kinda cool). The food was excellent (even though the first steak they brought me was well done and I ordered it medium rare.. the second steak was beautiful... I cannot eat well done steak... anything over medium is grody). We had some interesting conversations (as I always do when I'm with those folks) . We went to cosmos and had coffee and talked for a few hours. I really like those guys because I can say just about anything and not offend or be judged or worry about crossing any lines or having any words I say be taken the wrong way. It's a really freeing experience to converse with Jay and Justin and I totally dig it. Thanks guys for a great night.

After that I went home and had a nice little convo with my gramma while I cleaned my room. I have the worlds cutest grandparents it's unbelievable how incredibly cute they are :)

I'm also really close to them, so I always like to give them a call.. at least once a week.

I talked to Joe a bit too, he's interested in some web stuff so I gave him some info that I know and directed him to Tom for the rest. I also got to talk to Tom...

Now we just did some little chit chat at first, but that lead, somehow, to a really indepth about life and our relationship and all kinds of other things. It lasted for about 3 hours or so and it was really awesome. His mom came home and wanted to check her email, so we had to end, but it was also 1:30 so I needed to go to bed. Anyway, wow, I really felt good about this conversation.. it was just amazing :) A real open flow of communication that has often been lacking from my relationships is something that is present between Tom and I and I really appreciate it :)

Today, I was draggin ass when I woke up. Long day of classes, 3 in a row.. then to work..

WHERE EVERYTHING IS BROKEN. These computers are for shit. The terminals are all messed up and I am getting *really* frustrated. Anyway.. enough about that. I've got like 20 minutes and I'm off of work and off to Kent to get TOm :) I'm very excited :)

Have a good long weekend everyone

Ooooh boy... Im tired.

I'm supposed to have much less to do this semester, but this week has been seriously hectic. Yesterday, classes were very cool as usual. I got a million things accomplished at work (like categorizing all the manuals and getting rid of the out of date ones and putting remedy tickets on th 8 million macs that don't work down there). I even got a sub so I have enough time to get from 025 to my ceramics class. Yesterday, I really got into a groove and I worked for about 4 hours solid.

I got home at about 7 oclock and found out that Jenn was having men issues (among all the other shit that's going on with her right now.. poor girl), so we chatted for a little bit, smokin and drinkin beer at the table in the usual way that we do when either of us are upset. I guess she was pissed at me for like a month or so for some stuff that I had said on my website, but I was completely oblivious to it. I told her that nothing was meant to be malicious and we worked it all out. But yeah, I had no idea. Anyway, I didn't want to see her stay at home by herself and mope so I invited her to go to bdubs with me. She didn't realize until later, after she was just about ready to go, that it was karaoke night :) I didn't mention that it was specifically karaoke night... but when else do I go to bdubs.. really :)

SOooo... Jenn, my sorority sister Amy, her friend sarah, and my CS friend Jon all piled into the civic and headed to Bdubs :) It was a good time, drank a little beer, sang fever, rapped to baby got back. I even got Jon to get up and sing with me (after beer #2). He didn't sing "I got you babe" (even though I told him he could be Cher) like most of my karaoke virgins do, but we ended up singing "you've lost that loving feeling," which is almost as bad :) I don't know which righteous brother I was, but we managed alright :) Jenn's friend, Leah, showed up and they chatted and drank for awhile, but I took the rest of the gang home. I didn't hear her come in last night, but her door was shut this morning, so I hope everything's okay. She just can't catch a break lately.

So after bdubs last night, I get up way early this morning for a supervisor meeting. I found out that they had ALL BRAND NEW PC'S LINED UP FOR THE HAYES 025 LAB, BUT THE CS DEPARTMENT DIDN"T WANT THEM!!!!! SO NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE ANCIENT MACS THAT DON"T WORK!!! So pissed... SO PISSED! I've been trying for YEARS to get pc's in that lab.. and ITS finally listens to me and I get shot down by the CS fricken darpartment!!! AHHHHH!

Anyway, today is sort of a slow day, I only have two classes and some office hours.. which is good because I need to take it easy. Tonight I need to clean my room, call my grandparents, talk to Tom, and hook up my electronics some more. I get to see him tomorrow!!! Hooray! I'm so excited :)

Oh yeah.. and I'm also glad to hear that my friend Jay is switching over to MS Visual Notepad as his html editor :) We need more purists in the world!

Wow! This semester is getting off to a great start. My classes are all going well so far. Work is pretty sweet too, and I don't think I'm working too many hours, which is nice.

My webapps class is completely online, which is nice as that's less books I have to carry around. My networking class, although going to be quite challenging with Dr. Dunning, is going to be great because there are some really cool people. Emily and Jon from my 462 in the fall, Chris, that funny kid that co-opped at Marathon, and some other people. Needless to say it should be fun. My advanced psych stats is going to be hard, but the prof seems to be very cool. I even made a crack on his age and he took it in style :)

My ceramics class is going to be a lot of fun. Even though I enjoy working on the wheel more than handbuilding, I'm looking forward to starting out the semester with handbuilding. I've got 8 million supplies to buy, so it looks like I'll be doing some shopping soon. Its cool too because one of my sorority sisters is in there with me, so it's nice to know someone there. Since I have a lot of time in the evenings, I'll probably spend some of it over there making stuff for my post graduation apartment. Jenn said though, that if I wanted to put any of the stuff in the apartment now, that I couldn't make any more bowls like the one that we have all of the kitchen utensils in. I told her that I got an "A" on that pot and that it was just funny lookin' :)

Poor Jenn, she's having school issues right now and some of her profs aren't being to helpful. Hopefully everything will work out for her and she'll be able to graduate on time.

Tommy is definitely coming into town this weekend, so I'm trying to get everything in order so that he has an enjoyable stay :) I've got some steaks in the freezer, so I was thinking about having a little soiree. We'll see :) Needless to say, I'm excited :) I might have to scour the internet for recipes of stuff to go with the steak :)

Weekend Update:

I have been insanely busy this weekend, so sorry I haven't been updating like I usually do.

Friday: Spent the afternoon looking at Paris spring break trips on expedia.com and hoping that I can raise enough money to go (800 bucks a person for a week of hotel including roundtrip airfare is *not* bad). I closed the library lab and didn't feel like going home, so I headed over to Cosmo's to see Jay. We sat around a bit, chatted, and I showed him all the cd's that Tom made me for christmas :) Needless to say, Jay was very impressed at Tom's 1337 cd mixing capability. Justin and his girlfriend came over later and I marvelled them with my Jehovah's Witness stories from my youth. It's always interesting to see people's reaction to that stuff (also the reaction to my being a sorority girl is fun too) because it makes me feel so fortunate not to be a JW anymore. Jay had to close, so I chilled out and read some fellowship of the rings until everyone was out. After that Jay and I headed to Sam B's for steak and martinis :) Let me tell ya, that was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. I was determined to splurge myself even though I'm really keeping tabs on my money lately, but Jay was so nice as to pay for my meal! I couldn't believe it! So thank you to Jay who is so very very nice and is also a lot of fun to hang out with. I feel like I owe him a lot because he's always been really genuinely nice to me and kind of taken me in to his group of friends who are all really cool and interesting people too. For that I am forever greatful. After sam B's I dropped Jay off and headed home and talked to Tom on the phone for a really long time. I miss him a lot. It's cool though that we're doing a fairly good job of communicating through the distance. Although really, comparitively (to other relationships I've had) the distance between Kent and BG is really only about a 2 hour drive. AND his parents really like me (and I really like them) so when I go visit, I've got a place to stay. I always like talking on the phone before I go to bed :) Tom says hes going to read stories to me, which I'll absolutely adore and I get to read to him too. He's just so cute it's amazing. Anyway, talking to Tom on the phone is always a good pick me up too. He does a really good job of keeping me happy. Rumour has it that he might be in BG this next weekend as well, so we'll see :)

Saturday: I worked almost all day on saturday. I did about 9 loads of laundry, unpacked my suitcases, unloaded my xmas boxes, organized my walk in closet, set up some electronics, went grocery shopping, cooked some stuffed peppers, and probably more that I can't think of. Needless to say, I was tired.

Sunday: Went to cosmos to read the paper and visit with Jay (who was valuable to some decision making as well). I talked with Jay who knows something about stereos and he advised me to go with a stereo that was marked down to 200 bucks from 300 bucks (which was really cool). Since I had 300 bucks to spend, I also bought a western digital 40 gig 7200rpm drive as well, which comes with a 30 dollar best buy gift card too :)

Anyway, I made out at bestbuy on sunday. I got the last stereo (and they threw in the extra subwoofer for free) so I did well. Jay made some excellent potato soup for lunch as well. I set up my electronics and tried to clean my room some more, but that didn't get very far. So I took a shower and headed into work to get the lab a little readier for the new year.

Later in the evening, I went to cook with Jay. We made chocolate chunk biscotti, rosemary fococcia, penne with vodka sauce, asiago and proscuitto, and apple mousse crepes for desert. As always there was plenty of liquor flowing. Cooking with Jay was a lot of fun too and he even was very forgiving when I got clumsy (ME? Clumsy? never!). Everyone was late, but we were hungry, so we started without them. Eventually people showed up and the food went fast (it was quite tasty!). The conversation was a lot of fun as always :) I also found out that one of Jay's friends Herald was seriously scared of me because I was always yelling at someone in the Hayes 025 lab. I felt kind of bad, but I explained to him that I don't take shit off of my employees :)

After I left Jays, I went over to Joe's so we could head over to the Union extravaganza. Joe had his camcorder and was taping the festivities when I ran into Mandy Schaub who is turning 21 this weekend! HOORAY! It was really good to see her again :) There were 8 million people trying to get into the union though, so we drifted in the crowd for a bit and made our way up to a front spot. All the cheerleaders and falcons and people were throwing out glowsticks and poppers and gum and there was a searchlight and fireworks and street performers. It was cool to check it out. Joe and I had fun :) It was hard for me to get to sleep last night though after all that excitement.

I got up this morning for my 8:30 and was a bit late for it because I forgot to pack a lunch, but I managed to get there at a decent time. All my "real" classes seem pretty cool so far. I still have ceramics this afternoon and I have all kinds of crap to do in the lab. We'll see if I ever get to relax. Maybe not ;)

Later!
